The iconic Leaning Tower of Pizza on Route 1 is turning 50! Founded by Arthur Castraberti in 1961, Prince Pizza has been giving back to the community for 50 years. Prince Pizza is the largest independently owned pizzeria in the country — and has been run by the Castraberti family for 50 years.
“My father supported the local schools, sports teams, hospitals, seniors and many other worthy causes since I can remember,” explained Arthur’s son Steven, who now owns and runs Prince with his wife Trisha. “We felt it would be fitting to celebrate our 50th year in business by making a contribution to the Lynn and Saugus Public Schools.”
Two events are planned for this October.
The Prince 50th Birthday Comedy Event on Thursday, October 21 features Lenny Clarke (currently on tour with Dennis Leary). Some of Boston’s best comics will be Lenny’s guests for an extraordinary evening of comedy beginning at 7pm. Tickets are $50 and include Pizza.
Prince 50th Birthday Family Event will be the following Sunday, October 24th and features a dance party, face painting, pizza and surprise guests and performances — a fun event for the entire family from 11am- 4pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children and include pizza and soft drinks.
100% of the proceeds from both events will be donated to the Lynn and Saugus public schools. Tickets will go on sale after Labor Day. Both events expect to sell out quickly.
