Oceanside, Ca. (July 8, 2010)-Comfort Coach Transport Inc. a non medical emergency transportation Company based in Oeanside has been selected by Pepsi to participate in its Refresh Project. Comfort Coach Transport is in the running with others from around the country to receive a $50,000.00 grant from Pepsi, which the company would use for the purchase of a wheelchair van and to cover transportation costs. “This grant would provide life saving transportation for people in wheelchairs to dialysis treatment”, said Diane Presser, owner of Comfort Coach Transport. “This is not covered by most insurances which is which is heart breaking. If a person is in a wheelchair and needs dialysis 2-3 times a week, it can be extremely costly for them to get to and from these appointments.”
There is no cost to cat a vote in the Pepsi Refresh Program. People can vote once a day through July 3, 2010. Winners from this round of grants will be announced August 1, 2010.
Comfort Coach Transport opened its doors o Dec. 14, 2009. The company transports elderly and wheelchair individuals in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, Encinitas San Marcos, Escondido, and Fallbrook. This is a valuable sevice for the community to support due to the large elderly and wheelchair-bound population of North County.
