Why are Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award Winning, Billboard Charting, Celebrity, Hip Hop Producers coming to Nashville, TN? To witness the hottest beat battle to ever hit the Southern Region. The Grand Finale of the Soundtrack Beat Battle is July 24th at Rocketown and some of the biggest names in Hip Hop are making their way to Nashville to witness history in the making. Producers from all over the nation have entered this competition and the top 8 have been selected to battle for the opportunity of a lifetime! Partnering up with Big Fish Audio, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Myhitonline.com-the Soundtrack Beat Battle will award the Grand Prize Winner with $2500 worth of music gear, free online music subscriptions and a trip to LA to have a pitch meeting with the VP of Urban A&R at Sony/ATV.

The Soundtrack Beat Battle launched in January 2010 and was created by a local singer, songwriter, producer and business owner by the name of Coko Korinne. “I was tired of people telling me that there was no way for an Urban artist to get discovered in Nashville! Everyone suggested that you move to a bigger city. But I knew that we had just as much talent as any other place—someone just needed to bring the record labels to Nashville and let them witness for themselves. So I decided to step up to the plate”, says Coko.

This event has brought in managers, established artists, A&R, music supervisors and even TV producers from BET. But for the Grand Finale show, Coko decided to bring in some of Hip Hop’s most respected producers. Billboard’s Top 10 Producer of the Decade- Bryan Michael Cox will be judging the event, along with Drake’s #1 Producer-Boi 1 Da and Keyshia Cole’s Producer Street Symphony. “The caliber of judges that we will have at the finale is going to be huge for the city of Nashville. Someone is going home with a business card that could change their life”, explains Coko.

The event will be held July 24, 2010 at Rocketown located at 522 5th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37203. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the competition will begin at 8:00pm. The cost is $8.00 at the door and $6.00 in advance. Local artists will perform during the pre-show and intermission and the Grand Prize Winner will be announced at 10:30pm. Following the beat battle will be an after party at the Sky Room located at 1st Ave. Downtown Nashville 37201. At the after party, local party goers will have the chance to dance, eat, drink and meet and greet with the celebrity judges from the Soundtrack Beat Battle.
