Los Angeles – HBO is set to air the last season of its longest running series in 2011. As reported by Reuters, “Entourage” will air in its final season next summer according to the network, but a feature-length film of the series may be in the works. “The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency” is ending its run as well; however it may also reportedly be adapted for film in the future. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo discussed changes for the network at the Television Critics Assn.’s press tour on Saturday.
Upcoming projects for the network paneled during the tour include “Boardwalk Empire,” a Prohibition-era crime drama executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Spike Lee’s “If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise,” which is a follow-up to his documentary “When the Levees Broke.”
