“Madden” Facebook application launched

New York – The popular “Madden” football game can now be played on Facebook. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), international game developer, publisher, and distributor Electronic Arts launched the free application “Madden NFL Superstars” on Tuesday, making its debut one week prior to the start of football season.
As noted in the report, users can compete with other users on fantasy teams through the application, and have a selection of over 1,500 NFL players to choose from for the creation of their teams. The application is free; however, EA will reportedly earn revenue by allowing players to improve their game content and other features for a fee.
A similar EA game application, “FIFA Superstars,” a soccer game Facebook users can play currently has a reported estimate of four million players.
