Dallas, Texas - Two preteens charged in the shooting of a Garland couple have now been charged with two capital murder counts. As reported by KERA, the recent death of 48 year old Alan Nevil, who was found wounded after the August 17th shooting, has led to charges against a 12 year-old and 13 year-old arrested for the crime being upgraded.
As noted in the report, officers say they cannot identify the young suspects due to their ages. Police Officer Joe Harn is quoted in the report as stating of the case, “It has upset a community that lives in and around where the Nevil’s lived, and anyone who was associated with the kids. This has been as case that has touched us in the Police Department also. It’s just something we don’t see, and it’s just been a very disturbing case.”
