New York – “48 Hours” news correspondent and investigative reporter Harold Dow has died. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Dow, who has won five Emmys, a George Foster Peabody Award, and other accolades throughout his long-term career, passed away Saturday in New Jersey.
As noted in the report, Dow spent 40 years working with CBS, becoming a correspondent for “48 Hours” in 1990.
Susan Zirinsky, executive producer of “48 Hours Mystery,” is quoted by the AP as saying of Dow in a statement, “Insatiably curious, he was happiest when he was on the road deep into a story…It was his humanity, which was felt by everyone he encountered, even in his toughest interviews, that truly defined the greatness of his work. He was the most selfless man I have known.”
