Dallas, Texas – New school zone rules have been put in place for North Texas schools, and authorities are taking steps to ensure they are strictly enforced. As reported by The 33 News, violators could be fined up to $200 if found talking on their cell phones during designated hours, with rules becoming effective each school morning at 7:15.
As noted in the report, more signs have been posted for school districts than previously, which will purportedly aid in improving enforceability of the rules. AAA spokesperson Dan Ronan is quoted by The 33 News as stating of the law, “We’ve got signs on school districts all over the state. Now that the signs are up that means that the law is 100% enforced.”
