New York – According to a recent survey social media sites like Facebook are finding a lot of friends in the wine industry. As reported by Reuters Life!, the survey shows over 80 percent of wine expert respondents stated they use the social media avenues in business.
As noted in the report, over 83 percent of wine professionals expressed the need for business plan flexibility due to being impacted by the recession. Facebook, blogs, Twitter, and other social media platforms are noted to provide professionals with a cost effective means of communicating with consumers as well as obtaining direct feedback.
The survey was conducted by the Wine Industry Financial Symposium Group and the University of California-Davis Graduate School of Management.
