New Facebook Fan Page Runs Contest for Best (or Worst) Boss Stories
San Francisco, CA – October 25th, 2010 – WiredPRNews.com – On October 19, consulting firm HR4Change launched a fan page video contest on Facebook called “My Boss Story.”
“I thought the video format offered people more creativity,” HR4Change founder, Tony Deblauwe, said. “The videos can showcase examples of good or bad boss experiences. I believe people have much to offer about what works and doesn’t work regarding management behavior.” Deblauwe is also the author of the award-winning book on dealing with difficult bosses called, Tangling with Tyrants: Managing the Balance of Power at Work.
The contest is open to worldwide Facebook users, 18 years of age or older, who become fans of the page. Videos can be up to three (3) minutes in length and can be simple or highly creative. Cash prizes for first, second, and third place are offered and voting is done by other fan page fans.
Deblauwe stated, “I’m looking forward to the entries. The insights, examples, and lessons learned will provide everyone with thoughts and perspectives on effective workplace relationships.” The contest also serves to build awareness of the fan page.
