New York – Wendy’s is making changes to its menu to include a different version of its 41 year-old fries. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the fast-food chain is set to begin offering natural cut, skin on fries, with added sea salt this week.
As noted in the report the move comes as part of an initiative to appeal to a broader base of customers seeking real ingredients in their food items. The restaurant chain debuted a new line of salads earlier this year.
Chief Marketing Officer Ken Calwell, is quoted by the AP as stating of the new changes, “We want every ingredient to be a simple ingredient, to be one you can pronounce and one your grandmother would recognize in her pantry.”
