Tango Networks Expands Mobile UC Support for Microsoft® Lync™ 2010
PLANO, TEXAS (WiredPRNews.com) - Tango Networks™, a leader in seamless enterprise mobile unified communications, announced that its award-winning Abrazo™ mobile Unified Communications solution, in addition to supporting Microsoft® OCS™ now includes support for newly released Microsoft® Lync™ 2010.
With Tango Networks Abrazo, any mobile phone on a Tango-enabled network, regardless of type, can become an extension of Microsoft Lync 2010, adding enterprise mobile voice, mobile network presence and location information.
Support for Microsoft® Lync™ 2010 follows Tango Networks’ previous interoperability qualification with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R1 and R2, and Tango Networks’ participation in the Microsoft Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program.
With Tango Networks’ Abrazo, corporations are able to connect mobile phones to Microsoft Lync or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 without client software. Users are able to make and receive calls with their mobile phone utilizing the enterprise communications network, transfer calls between their mobile phones and the new Microsoft Lync 2010 client, and have a single unified communications inbox that includes both desktop and mobile voicemail. In addition, presence and location information from the mobile network can be shared with Lync contacts as part of the experience.
Tango Networks’ Abrazo is based on a unique architecture enabling enterprise networks to manage corporate mobile phones on participating mobile networks. This fundamental design enables the system to monitor mobile device status in the mobile network, and provide controlled, secure presence/location updates to Microsoft® Lync™ 2010. Because of this architecture, any mobile phone - with or without data connectivity - can extend the unified communications experience to include mobile presence and location information.
