Dallas – May 5, 2011 – Dallas National Insurance Company, a DNIC Insurance Holdings company, announced that it has expanded its general liability insurance coverage to provide protection for liquor liability exposures.
“Each year, almost a million people are unintentionally injured in alcohol related accidents and this product is designed to provide additional security to the sellers or servers of alcoholic beverages”, said Robert McGowan, Chief Operating Officer of Dallas National. “Through a relationship with a specialty reinsurer, Dallas National will now offer a flexible and customized liquor liability product”.
Available by an endorsement to the Dallas National general liability policy or on a stand-alone basis, this coverage enhancement provides protection for a variety of liquor liability claim allegations, including assault and battery.
Liability limits are available up to $1,000,000 for each common cause action. Eligible classes of business include restaurants, convenience stores, package stores or grocery stores.
