Abrams, WI (WiredPRNews.com) Something that successful women have in common is a social life that is geared towards success. Women who succeed recognize that their social life is just as critical to their future, their career and their dreams as their business, education and career. Women that fail neglect their social lives and their relationships.
If you want to succeed you will have to do more than succeed at your job. You will have to succeed outside it to in community organizations, charities, politics, faith, volunteer work, education and every else you do. You will have to be willing to your community and the causes you care about just as much energy and effort as you devote to your job and your family.
To do this you will have to get involved and to find friends and others who can help you. You will have to find places to be around successful people and work with them. If you spend your spare time with those who are going nowhere you will go nowhere. Their habits will become your habits and you will fail.
If you want to go somewhere you will have to spend time with women that are going somewhere. That means you need to get involved with the community, with charity, with causes, with schools, with politics, with local government and with national organizations like the National Association of Professional women. The more you get involved the better you will feel and the more empowered you will be.
More importantly, you will be able to succeed because you will be around successful people. You will see that others can make it and achieve their dreams and you will be able to learn from them. Therefore you should take hard look at your social life and your leisure activities they could be what is holding you back.
