Amadeus Consulting partnered with Lynx Research to create a unique research tool for gathering feedback from customers in order to enhance the level of customer service that companies provide.
The tool is a free smartphone application for Android™ and iPhone™ devices called CommentLynx that allows customers to provide feedback and experience as they happen. This data is then collected by Lynx Research and used to provide recommendations to businesses.
The app has several benefits over other customer sentiment tools. Specifically, it allows customers to comment on specific aspects of a company, rather than just generic customer service. Also, rather than relying on automated sentiment analysis, the app allows customers to define whether their comments are compliments or complaints.
As an independent third party, Lynx Research is able to act as an advocate on behalf of customers in order to help companies improve their companies and services. Also, since Lynx Research gathers information across entire markets, it is able to analyze what does and does not work.
“We believe that every voice can make a difference and every opinion matters,” said Chris Hauck president of Lynx Research “Ideally, companies would encourage customers to provide feedback through the app because it gives consumers a channel for sharing positive and negative experiences as they happen. Companies usually hear what they do wrong, but they rarely hear what they do right. This app gives them a more accurate view of both sides of the story.”
In addition to helping improve businesses and the consumer experience, CommentLynx also makes a donation to five charities every month based on user voting. After submitting customer feedback to a company, the user may select one of five non-profit organizations and charities to receive a portion of the monthly donation, which is 10% of Lynx Research revenue!
In order to create the technical aspects of the app, Lynx Research worked with Amadeus Consulting, one of the largest mobile app development companies in the country. Amadeus Consulting assisted with the technical aspects of the app, including simultaneous multi-platform app development for iPhone and Android.
The app is available for Android 2.0 and above, and for all versions of iOS, including the iPhone, iPad™, and iPod Touch™.
