Just as significantly, that 16 percent reduction in energy use corresponded to a 16 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
In the end, a simple switch of air filters — requiring no infrastructure modifications — would save Land Securities $400,000 and 650 tons of CO2 annually. Those savings might have come as a surprise, but Land Securities’ rapid embrace of the Camfil Farr filters — installing them throughout its London portfolio — definitely didn’t.
