We want to help create a forum for the region’s farmers and ranchers that will assist them in staying informed on the latest technology available to them. ” stated Greg Geisler, CEO of VerticalXchange, a Burnsville, MN based company. The Texas AgXchange which will take place October 4 & 5, 2012 will be produced at the RMB Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas. VerticalXchange, the producer of the event, currently organizes six other national and regional AgXchanges. “Currently we produce and organize AgXchanges for the country’s largest producers in the Vegetable, Tree Fruit, Dairy, Row Crop and Greenhouse markets”.
The Texas AgXchange is being held in cooperation with AgriLIFE Extension and Research, Texas A&M System, and is estimated to draw a crowd of 3,000 to 4,000 producers from the South Texas area.
Geisler is the former founder and owner of the Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show and the Corpus Christ Farm & Ranch Show. “We are thrilled that we are able to partner with AgriLIFE Extension, Research and Texas A&M”, said Geisler. “We are responding to a need for a new model for an outdoor farm show. There several distinct components to the Texas AgXchange;
• 10 acres of outdoor exhibit space
• 20+ acres for field demos
• 200 Indoor exhibit spaces
• Hands on educational conference sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension.
• A vegetable, fruit, citrus and nut section with a promotion to the Rio Grande Valley, and the Winter Gardens regions.
