HM King Mohammed VI welcomed, Sunday at the international airport of Félix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire Alassane Ouattara upon his return to the country after a period of recovery abroad.
In a statement to the press at his arrival at the Airport, President Ouattara thanked HM King Mohammed VI for his constant concern vis-à-vis Côte d’Ivoire and for the efforts that the Sovereign has made to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between two brotherly countries.
“Thank you, Your Majesty for your constant concern vis-à-vis our country, and for all the efforts you are making to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between our two brotherly countries,” said President Ouattara.
“I would like to thank His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who gave us the great honor of staying in Côte d’Ivoire since last Sunday with a delegation of senior Moroccan government officials and businessmen,” he added, highlighting the various initiatives and projects undertaken by the Sovereign during his stay in Côte d’Ivoire.
For his part, the King reiterated his sincere wishes for a speedy recovery and good health to President Ouattara to continue his tireless work for the Ivorian people.
This welcome ceremony reflects the historical, unique and exemplary ties binding the two brotherly countries and the constant will of the King to make of the Moroccan-Ivorian cooperation a model for South-South partnership. It is also part of the strong relations between the two heads of State.
