Bangkok, Thailand – From the Royal Thai Army‘s directly institutions meeting, general Prayuth Chan-ocha plans to repair the dilapidated houses of the families of soldiers who died or discharged because of being wounded on their missions. Those military personnel are brave and have made great sacrifices. They benefit the country greatly. They should be taken care of by the Royal Thai Army, according to Royal Thai Army assistant spokeswoman Major Monpicha Narayam.
This project is progressing steadily with the Royal Thai Army’s radio and television station’s assistance. The stations donated 6 million baht to support the soldiers’ and families’ house repairs.
The Royal Thai Army has prepared an additional budget to support this project.
Colonel Sirijan Ngathong, Royal Thai Army deputy spokeswoman, said the general has emphasized that the Army border troops must strict about controlling foreign workers, following the policy of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO). The soldiers must facilitate to foreign workers and screen contraband.
The Army chief also orders the troops to list foreign workers for easier coordination between the NCPO and employers.
