News source: www.einnews.com — CYPRESS, CA – October 13, 2008 – The Bryson family announced today a new international charity organization whose beneficiaries are orphaned children of war and poverty. The Never Forgotten Foundation (www.neverforgottenfoundation.com), based in Cypress, California is the brainchild of Steven H. Bryson, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Global Electronic Technology, Inc.(GET), a leading technology provider of payment processing solutions (www.gettrx.com).
“The reach of this new charity will be world wide. Unlike many non-profit organizations who contribute a small percentage of all funds donated, we will use 100 cents on every dollar for this fund. We plan to pay for the administration of this charity ourselves for as long as we can. Even though the Charity is in its infancy, I have no doubt of its success. When it comes to helping and caring for children, Scott and Samantha are all heart. In addition, we are looking for any other organizations that are willing to donate to this cause. We will be hosting fund raising dinners and other efforts in order to expand the NFF reach. We want to educate and teach sustainability. It’s the “teach to fish” vs. “give a fish” approach. We have given a great deal in the past to many people and causes. We have until now kept it quiet and close to our hearts, but this will be different. We are looking to inspire other organizations and individuals,” states Steve Bryson.
The charity, which has garnered the support and donations of local prominent businesses and individuals, was inspired by his children, Scott and Samantha, as well as Bryson’s own experiences growing up in Memphis, Tennessee.
Scott Bryson, now state side, is a decorated member of the 82nd Airborne Division and saw action in Iraq during a 15 month deployment. He is currently at the wounded warrior transition battalion at Ft. Bragg NC pending a medical discharge from concussions suffered as a result of multiple IEDs (Improvised Explosive Device) hits. He will join the organizations efforts while continuing to recover upon his return to California. Both he and Samantha serve as directors of Never Forgotten Foundation.
Samantha Bryson, a recent UCLA graduate, is currently in Ethiopia teaching English as a second language during the day and working with HIV / AIDS children in the afternoon and evenings. Currently, 3 other recent UCLA graduates are working tirelessly in Ethiopia as well and have played a large part (unknowingly) in helping to expedite the formation of NFF.
“We are doing this for the children left in need, orphaned, and or homeless by war or poverty. We have been and remain very fortunate and we recognize our responsibility to help those less fortunate,” said Bryson.
