Wired PR News.com – Only three days shy of Election Day, Republican presidential candidate, Senator John McCain, will follow in the footsteps of his running mate, and appear on Saturday Night Live (SNL), as reported by The Associated press.
Senator McCain is set to make his cameo this Saturday on the long running television program that soared in ratings after veteran writer and comedian Tina Fey began her impersonations of Republican vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. Palin helped the show achieve its best ratings in over a decade when she appeared on October 18th.
This will mark the Arizona senator’s second appearance on SNL since receiving the presidential nomination. He also hosted the show in 2002. Democratic candidate, Barack Obama also made an appearance last season.
Saturday Night Live has been on the air for over 30 decades. Tina Fey, who now stars in and produces the Emmy winning series 30 Rock, made history as the show’s first lead female writer. SNL has for years been widely recognized for its political comedy.
