Wired PR News.com – The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) has received extensive negative press for recent budget troubles that have landed members of the school board in hot water. The negative talks continue, but this time within the DISD circle. As reported by CBS 11 News, DISD Trustee Ron Price has openly expressed his lack of confidence in current superintendent, Michael Hinojosa.
In a news conference on Wednesday Price was quoted by the CBS 11 report as stating, “We cannot continue down this road of scandal, after scandal, after scandal… It’s unfair to our children. It’s unfair to parents. It’s unfair to our thousands of teachers who are working hard everyday.”
Price further blamed Hinojosa’s mismanagement for the district’s $64 million budget deficit that led to the mass layoffs of more than 300 teachers in October.
Hinojosa is set to receive his yearly evaluation on Thursday in a closed door board meeting.
