With Congress now pushing for a bailout plan for the Detroit Big Three auto makers, some smaller companies are making sure their voice is heard regarding not being overlooked for getting the same kind of government assistance to keep Main Street economies going.
Wired PR News.com –As reported by CBS 11 News, local Dallas and other North Texas leaders met in Washington on Monday to present lists for building projects that they say would create thousands of jobs.
Dallas building projects that were made part of the list include the $500 million construction of a convention center hotel as well as road projects. Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert has reportedly expressed hopes that the economic stimulus package will meet Congress’ approval and be signed by President Elect Barack Obama soon after he enters office.
Congress sent a $15 billion bailout proposal for the auto industry to the White House on Monday.
