Students on school bus say driver made threats while wielding a knife.
Wired PR News.com – A group of students who attend a Mansfield middle school claim a bus driver threatened them at knifepoint over Oreo cookie crumbs. As reported by CBS 11 News, the bus driver was stated to pull out a knife after trying to get the students to tell him who was eating the cookies on the bus.
As quoted one of the students who witnessed the occurrence in the report, “He asked us if we had Oreo crumbs. He either saw it by us or in our seat… He was like okay, ‘I’m gonna ask you one more time. Who ate the Oreos?’ We said we don’t know… He pulled the blade out, and said, ‘I’m gonna cut off your wrists if you don’t tell me who ate the Oreos.”
The district has reportedly placed the 66-year-old bus driver, William Allen, on paid leave. The parents of the students have expressed views that criminal charges should be taken against the bus driver, and are seeking further action.
