Actor couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are latest reported victims of the Madoff scheme.
Wired PR News.com — One of the biggest reported Wall Street fraud scandals in history, keeps getting bigger as celebrities are thrown into the mix. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), married star couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are said to be victims of the Madoff scheme in which a purported $50 billion was lost in fraudulent investments. The total amount lost for the couple was not disclosed at the time.
Bernard Madoff, a former Nasdaq Stock Market chairman and founder of Bernard L. Madoff Investments, has been a constant in recent news headlines for a pending federal securities fraud case against him. Bacon is an award winning actor who has starred in films such as “Footloose” and “Mystic River.” Sedgwick is the award winning star of the hit television series, “The Closer.”
Other celebrities noted by the AP to be victims of the scandal include director Steven Spielberg and screenwriter Eric Roth, who has the recently released film starring Brad Pitt “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” included in his list of credits.
