Owner of private jet carrying entertainers Travis Barker and DJ AM at the time of fatal crash is suing a South Carolina airport.
Wired PR News.com – The owner of the private jet that crashed last September and seriously injured drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM Adam Goldstein, and killed four other passengers, is suing a South Carolina airport and others who allegedly contributed to the crash. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Irvine, California based Inter Travel & Services Inc. along with jet operator Global Exec Aviation Inc. is suing the Columbia Metropolitan Airport as well as the manufacturer of the jet, and a tire company for over $12 million in damages.
As noted by the AP, the cause of the crash has yet to be determined by investigators, however the plaintiffs allege in their suit that tire failure and insufficient room to stop the blame were among issues that contributed to the crash.
Barker, Goldstein, and the estates of the deceased victims also have lawsuits pending in connection to the crash.
