The CEO of Yahoo makes surprising executive changes.
WiredPRNews.com – Carol Bartz, the new Chief Executive of Yahoo Inc. has planned surprising changes for the company. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Bartz’s plan includes changes in the company’s management that pushes out CFO Blake Jorgensen, and also, in addition to other changes, creates positions for a chief marketing officer and chief of staff.
Bartz is quoted as writing Thursday, “People here have impressed the hell out of me… They’re smart, dedicated, passionate, driven, and really nice. There’s so much great energy and frankly lots of optimism. But there’s also plenty that has bogged this company down. For starters, you’d be amazed at how complicated some things are here.”
As noted in the AP report, Bartz became Yahoo CEO in January, replacing former CEO and co-founder Jerry Yang, who agreed to step down amid the company’s financial difficulty and anger from investors.
