First Ladies from several nations in Africa are set to meet in Los Angeles for summit.
Wired PR News – A group of African first ladies are set to gather together in Los Angeles for a summit on education and health next week. As reported by Reuters, 15 first ladies from the continent will utilize the summit to promote projects centered on improving conditions for women and girls in Africa.
Jean Stephane Biatcha with African Synergy, an organizer of the two-day event, is quoted in the report as stating, “These first ladies already know Washington and New York. They thought that by coming to Los Angeles, some of the inspiration that inspires movie makers could also inspire them in their objectives.”
Expected to be in attendance at the meeting are the first ladies of Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, and other nations in Africa as well as Maria Shriver, and other notable political figures.
