The talk show comedian was hospitalized after falling ill on Thursday.
Wired PR News – Longtime “Tonight” show host Jay Leno was hospitalized with an undisclosed illness on Thursday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Leno was subsequently stated to be doing well after checking himself into a hospital upon leaving his NBC studios office.
Taping of the “Tonight” show was canceled following Leno’s hospitalization, but is set to resume next week. Tracy St. Pierre, a spokesperson for NBC, is quoted as stating of the night time talk show host, “Jay Leno is doing just fine… He was kidding around with the hospital staff and running his monologue jokes by the doctors and the nurses. He’s expected back to work on Monday.”
As noted by the AP, Leno will leave his longtime “Tonight” show hosting gig in May, but stay on with NBC for another program.
