The former police sergeant was charged with murder Thursday.
Wired PR News – Drew Peterson, a former Illinois police sergeant suspected of killing two of his wives, was indicted on murder charges Thursday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), charges were filed against Peterson for the death of his third wife Kathleen Savio in 2004.
As noted in the report, Peterson has also long been suspected in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson in 2007, but no charges have been filed against him in that case. He was reportedly arrested for Savio’s murder in Bolingbrook, Illinois Thursday evening during a traffic stop.
Henry Savio, Kathleen’s 73 year-old father is quoted in the report as stating of the case, which was initially ruled an accidental drowning, “I always wondered” about her death… I was never pleased with the (coroner’s finding of suicide) from the beginning.”
