Carrie Prejean will be allowed to keep her crown as Miss California.
Wired PR News – Miss California Carrie Prejean will be allowed to retain her crown. As reported by Us Magazine, Donald Trump announced Tuesday that the controversial beauty pageant queen will retain her crown despite accusations that she violated her contract, and the discovery of racy pictures she posed for in her teens.
Trump is quoted by Us Magazine as stating, “We are in the 21st century … and Carrie is a model, she’s a very successful model, we have determined and we have the absolute right under the contract we have determined that the pictures taken are fine.”
Prejean made headlines after last month’s Miss USA pageant for expressing anti-gay marriage views when asked her opinion on the issue. As noted in the report, she has since announced intentions to campaign with the National Organization for Marriage in opposition to gay marriage.
