Cleveland, Ohio (WiredPRNews.com) — On May 21st, 2009, legendary singer Carl Carlton who’s hits include: “Bad Mama Jamma” and “Everlasting Love”, will make some very important career announcements, first of all Carl is launching a nation wide fund-raiser tour to raise money and awareness for the growing numbers of homeless and needy people, titled the “Everlasting Love fund-raiser and food drive”.
In association with Cleveland based East Hollywood Music. Carl plans for his 70’s Soul Jam comrades (“The Stylistics”, “Blue Magic”, “The Dramatics”, “The Whispers” etc.) to join him in various cities. The tour will consist of free concerts, grocery “Love Bags” and special surprises for victims of the recession.
The second announcement is the “Miss Bad Mama Jamma USA” contest, to honor the classy middle age woman “Who’s Got Her Own”. Carl will be appearing at “Bad Mama Jamma” meet ups from coast to coast as local winners are chosen and you know what song he’ll be singing.
Finally, Carl Carlton is preparing for his first musical play, scheduled for production in the fall of 2009. This will be a comedy on Pop culture and Religion with other celebrity co-stars. Detail TBA.
Carl Carlton’s classic hit “Bad Mama Jamma” has been featured in four #1 smash hit movies including “Fat Albert” and “Everlasting Love” has been prformed on “American Idol” at least five or six times, while Carl has never stop touring with some of the biggest names in Pop music for over 40 years and his songs are heard everyday all over the world. So a campaign to get Carl in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is being formed.
