The rapper played a concert in Atlanta before heading to prison.
Wired PR News – Rapper T.I. played to a packed audience Sunday in Atlanta before heading to prison. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the entertainer, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., is due to report to prison by noon on Tuesday for a federal weapons conviction. The 28 year-old is set to serve his jail term at the Federal Correction Institution at Forest City, Arkansas.
T.I. is quoted as remarking during the concert at the Philips Arena in Atlanta to an audience of approximately 16,000 people, “I’m going to stand up tall, head up high… Thank you for all of your support.” The Grammy winning artist is further quoted as saying, “What I need y’all to do is pray for me while I’m gone… I’ll see y’all in 366 days.”
