Many Americans reportedly regularly overlook some of the most powerful foods for improving their health.
Wired PR News – Many of the foods that have the most benefits for improving human health often get passed over in the grocery aisle. As written by Susan Adams on Forbes.com, foods such as cherries, blueberries, kiwifruit, and grass-fed beef are high in vitamins and nutrients, but on the list of foods Americans do not eat as much as they should.
Jonny Bowden, a nutritionist who has written several books including, The 150 Most Effective Ways to Boost Your Energy, is quoted in the article as stating, “In America, most people don’t eat three servings of fruit and vegetables a day.”
Bowden is further noted to suggest that many are too easily swayed by flaws of the food pyramid produced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, due to the reputation given to fat, which he quoted as stating is “an essential building block for many important compounds in the body.” Bowden is said to regard the healthiest eating habits as those mirroring a Mediterranean-style diet.
