Sacha Baron Cohen is being sued over a film incident two years ago.
Wired PR News — Actor and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is being sued over an incident from the filming of his new movie, which allegedly left a woman disabled. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Richelle Olson filed a lawsuit against Baron Cohen and NBC Universal, claiming she was injured during the course of the filming of the movie “Bruno.” Olson is alleging that a struggle left her requiring the use of a cane or wheelchair to get around, and is seeking over $25,000 for damages.
As noted by the AP, Baron Cohen’s 2006 film “Borat,” which brought in $125 million in the U.S., also produced a number of lawsuits, however several have been thrown out due to prior agreements that released makers of the film from liability.
“Bruno” is set to be released July 10.
