Michelle Obama and Queen Elizabeth II have reportedly kept contact since meeting in April.
Wired PR News – U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II have reportedly kept in touch since their G20 Summit meeting in April. As reported by Reuters, royal sources spoke of the warmth between the two during Obama and her children’s visit to Buckingham Palace last week.
A royal source is quoted by Reuters as stating, “There clearly is a personal warmth between the two of them… Clearly the queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Obamas got on very well at the G20 summit and mention was made then that they should keep in touch and they have done.” Sources are further quoted as stating, “It’s a positive thing for relations between the two countries that the royal family and the president’s family get along so well.”
As noted in the report, the source further stated that the First Lady and Queen have contacted one another via letters and phone since their initial meeting.
