An angered Oklahoma state trooper forced the driver of an ambulance to stop while it was en route to taking a patient to the hospital.
Wired PR News – An angered Oklahoma state trooper pulled over an ambulance while a patient was being transported. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), state trooper Daniel Martin reacted negatively after an ambulance driver did not yield to him while he was rushing to answer a call.
As noted in the report, Martin and the driver got into a scuffle after the trooper demanded answers to why the ambulance did not yield. Paramedic Maurice White Jr. is stated to have tried to tell Martin on numerous occasions before things escalated that a patient was in the back of the ambulance who needed to be transported to the hospital. The incident was caught on video.
Martin has reportedly been placed on paid leave while an investigation ensues.
