Wired PR News – Alec Baldwin recently spoke of his personal issues after leaving a controversial message for his then 11 year-old daughter over the phone. As reported by TV Guide, the 30 Rock star stated to Playboy magazine that he contemplated suicide after calling his daughter Ireland a “rude little pig” in a voicemail in 2007.
Baldwin is quoted in the report as stating in the interview, “I spoke to a lot of professionals, who helped me… if I committed suicide, [ex-wife Kim Basinger’s side] would have considered that a victory. Destroying me was their avowed goal.”
