Press Release Distribution Service – Wired PR News – Neighbors in a Fort Worth community reportedly caught burglars in the act after a series of homes were burglarized. As reported by CBS 11 News, residents in the Wedgewood community noticed suspicious individuals at a neighbor’s home and reported their activity to police.
As noted in the report, individuals in the neighborhood had been given pictures of the burglars’ vehicle and their descriptions, which helped residents Nicole and Andy Tomme identify them when they subsequently approached their home. Nicole is quoted as stating in the report, “The whole ruse is then they ask – ‘Oh I’m looking for my friend.” She further noted of a man who attempted to break into her house, “He also knocked once there, still wasn’t an answer. That’s when he started trying to bust the door open.”
The woman involved in the ruse was taken into police custody. Her male accomplice reportedly escaped, but has been identified, and authorities are now looking for him.
