As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the actress was pulled over in El Segundo, California over the weekend and administered field sobriety tests after an officer saw signs that she may have been under the influence of alcohol.
As noted by the AP, DeWitt was taken into police custody, booked, and given a citation before being released on her own recognizance.
DeWitt rose to fame after co-starring in “Three’s Company” with a cast that initially included Suzanne Somers and John Ritter. She later disappeared from the spotlight, reportedly citing mistreatment by the show’s producers as a reason for deciding to leave show business.
