Researchers are seeking to understand how children easily learn multiple languages to better assist adults with doing the same.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Researchers are hoping that information found that reveals how children learn multiple languages relatively easily can one day be applied to helping adults master foreign languages with more ease. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), researchers have found new information that may be beneficial in finding language learning solutions for those who missed their peak time window (birth to age 7) for becoming bilingual.
Dr. Patricia Kuhl, of the University of Washington, is quoted by Reuters as stating of the study, “We think the magic that kids apply to this learning situation, some of the principles, can be imported into learning programs for adults.”
Information about the study may be found in the recent publication of the NeuroImage journal.
