Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Professional golfer Tiger Woods is expected to be fined for recent comments regarding a tournament referee. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the PGA Tour will fine Woods for remarks made after his win of the Bridgestone Invitational.
Woods is quoted by the AP as remarking about the official after becoming irritated that he and Padraig Harrington were put on a time clock during the event, “I’m sorry that John got in the way of a great battle.” Woods is further quoted as stating, “I don’t think that Paddy would have hit the pitch shot that way if he was able to take his time, look at it, analyze it… But he was on the clock, had to get up there quickly and hit it.”
Woods is reportedly being fined for making the comments publicly.
