A man has been charged with stealing turtles from a pet store.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – A Texas man has been charged in the theft of turtles from a pet store. As reported by the Houston Chronicle, Brady Hough was charged with theft, after he was caught on surveillance cameras stealing Indian king tortoises, valued at $600 combined, from Pet City.
As noted by the Chronicle, Hough’s mother gave the turtles back to the store upon recognizing her son in photographs shown on news reports after the reptiles were taken. The mother also provided information to authorities regarding her son. Surveillance tapes reportedly show a man removing a turtle from its cage and hiding it in his pants before leaving the store.
As further noted in the report, police have issued a warrant for Hough’s arrest.
