Following the release of her brand new digital single “Greek Dance,” Memphis-raised R&B singer, writer and producer COKO KORINNE is celebrating continued growing success fueled by the track. In addition to announcing an all-new partnership with stuff4GREEKS.com to feature the song, the track has been receiving attention in new markets including Atlanta, New York and Daytona, along with inspiring a recently launched Stroll Off competition utilizing the song. Injected with Coko’s raw power, irresistible groove and sleek melodic layers, the thumping beat of “Greek Dance” is inciting a new way to stroll.
As part of her new partnership with stuff4GREEKS.com, COKO has launched a nationwide stroll-off competition, inviting NPHC organizations to assemble their best “Greek Dance” stroll, record their performance, and upload their video to the competition’s web site WWW.DOYOURGREEKDANCE.COM. From there, groups can campaign for votes while fans vote online for their favorite strolls. The group with the highest number of votes will win a grand prize from stuff4GREEKS.com that will include custom crossing jackets and $1000 cash. The deadline for video submissions is Saturday, October 17 at 11:59PM CST.
Drawing from her own Greek life experiences and the longstanding history of stepping and strolling, Coko Korinne was inspired to write “Greek Dance” in an effort to positively promote the social side of being in a Greek Organization. The early success of the track is gaining momentum throughout Greek organizations from around the country. Meanwhile, Coko is lining up live performance dates for Homecoming events and college step shows nationwide.
“The song gets all the Greeks involved,” explains Coko. And with no slowing in sight, it won’t be long before all Greeks are stepping and strolling in their own ways to “Greek Dance.”
