As reported by the Associated Press (AP), search efforts, which are now mainly focused on Vancouver and British Columbia, increased after Jenkins, who is from Calgary, was believed to have fled to the country soon after the murder.
As noted by the AP, Fiore’s body was found August 15 in a trash bin with her teeth and fingers removed. Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sgt. Duncan Pound is quoted in the report as stating, “We’re leaving no stone unturned, but we have to play our cards close to our chest right now.”
