Press Release – Wired PR News – President Barack Obama will reportedly address the nation’s children via a live broadcast on Sept. 8. As reported by The Yahoo! Newsroom blog, schools across the country have the option of allowing students to participate in the live viewing and subsequent guided discussion of topics pertaining to the speech.
As noted in the report, Obama spoke of his planned speech when interviewed by an 11 year-old reporter last month. The president is quoted as stating to student Damon Weaver of the plans, “I’m going to be making a big speech to young people all across the country about the importance of education; about the importance of staying in school; how we want to improve our education system and why it’s so important for the country. So I hope everybody tunes in.”
