As reported by the Associated Press (AP), an animal lab technician who worked in the same building as the 24 year old, Raymond Clark III, also 24, has been charged with her murder.
As noted by the AP, authorities did not provide details about the arrest, or evidence obtained in connection with the case. A $3 million bond was set for Clark on Thursday.
Yale President Richard Levin is quoted in the report as stating of the murder, “This incident could have happened in any city, in any university, or in any workplace. It says more about the dark side of the human soul than it does about the extent of security measures.”
