Jenna Bush Hager made her “Today” show debut with a live broadcast from Dallas.

Bush, made her on air debut Friday with a live broadcast from Dallas, Texas. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Hager began with a pre-recorded segment in which she interviewed 11 year-old journalist sensation Dalton Sherman, who has made an impression on notables like Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres.
Dalton, a sixth-grader whose “Believe in Me” speech given before thousands at Dallas ISD in 2008 became a YouTube sensation, is quoted as stating to Hager when asked for advice for her new role, “Say the words clearly so people can understand them.” He further stated of his fourth grade teacher when asked about the first speech he’d ever given, “I was very talkative and she noticed that that was my gift… She said, ‘Hey, I am gonna put him in a speech contest.”
Hager later joined “Today” host Matt Lauer live at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington.
