Jury hears testimony from Gotti childhood friend in new trial.
USA (WiredPRNews.com) – Jurors heard testimony from the star witness for federal prosecutors last week in the trial of John “Junior” Gotti. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), prosecutors painted the brother of author Victoria Gotti as a ruthless killer last week in his fourth racketeering trial.
Childhood Gotti friend, John Alite, is quoted by the AP as stating during his testimony of allegedly carrying out the killing of Georgie Grosso for Gotti, “John Gotti Jr. kept saying to me in ’88: `You didn’t kill this kid yet, you didn’t shoot him, you didn’t do this.’ … He wanted me to kill him.”
Alite is further quoted as stating, “I wanted to prove I was capable of killing guys and hurting guys and I was capable of being like everybody else that’s tough guys in the mob, capable of doing work, which is a big thing in the mob for respect.”
