NASHVILLE, TN – “Go hard or go home.” You’ve heard the saying before but not in the instance of a beat battle. Get ready for the chance of a lifetime, your breakthrough moment in the entertainment industry, and countless ways to showcase your talent as Music City hosts its first beat battle. This event highlights Mid-South producers and beat makers going head-to-head to claim the title and everything one could imagine needed to make them the star they always dreamed of being.
The Soundtrack Beat Battle is presenting local producers, singers, songwriters, rappers, DJ’s, and dancers with the golden opportunity of working with major artists. On behalf of MyHitOnline, the contest will accept tracks for Flo-Rida, Trina, Slim Thug, Fantasia and Triple C’s. “We don’t want to just host a beat battle and send the winner home with a prize. These producers need placement opportunities that will spring forth their career. They need to network and receive as much exposure as they can, and that’s our main focus” says Coko Korinne, creator/founder of the Soundtrack Beat Battle. Outside of fame and recognition, the winner captures a life-changing moment where he/she wins $2500 worth of product from Big Fish Audio, a trip to Los Angeles and a pitch meeting with the Vice President of Urban A&R at Sony/ATV Music Publishing – the top music publisher in the music industry. Coko highlights the main focus of the event and how imperative it is for artists to be prepared with their demos, press kits, and business cards: “Sony/ATV Music Publishing is the top music publisher in the world. The opportunity that they have given to the Grand Prize Winner is absolutely incredible! that’s why we encourage producers to enter this battle because this is a once in a lifetime chance that many undiscovered producers may not ever receive.” Artists also have the chance of finding their next hot producer, collaborating with other artists and networking with industry executives. At the Soundtrack Beat Battle, the crowd is the judge however there will still be an industry panel that will consist of record labels representatives, managers and other special guests who will offer feedback and advice and who are ultimately there to find new talent.
The event will be held January 16, 2010 at Rocketown located 401 Sixth Avenue South Nashville, TN. 37203. Starting at seven o’clock in the evening, the Soundtrack Beat Battle will last approximately three hours. The contest will allow producers to showcase their best beats while others across the entertainment industry in any spectrum can find their breakthrough as well. The second Soundtrack Beat Battle is set for February 11, 2010, at Rocketown. Stretching wide across the entertainment industry, the beat battle seeks to bring attention to the local Urban Music talent that often gets overlooked in a Country Music city.
